This tutorial is for anyone that needsto make a standardize image of windows 7 to deploy on any PC
regardless of the hardware setup, that do not want to go through Microsoft’s 450 step procedure for windows deployments. Having to download multiple tool (Waik, winPe, imageX) etc. and having to
configure multiple files to get things working right.
This tutorial is for the open minded that believe there is more than one way to solve a problem, especially not the way Microsoft wants you to. So let’s begin, Clonezilla has been a open source cloning tool for years now, but was never main streamed into deployment sevice but
after this lesson hopefully it will be, (the hell with Norton).Clonezilla has proven to be, to me, to be more stable more reliable than many other cloning tools for the price. So now Lets get started.
Step 1. Install windows with all applications and updates that you need.
Step 2. Go to
(C:\windows\system32\sysprep\and double click on sysprep.exe) to start the sysprep utility and check on generalize and choose from the drop down to reboot or shutdown. (note: if you choose reboot make sure your first boot device is clonezilla cd or usb device it will not work if you let windows boot again)for creating a standard image.
Step.3 Boot into clonezilla cd or usb drive and just hit enter to start clonzilla then pick your language

Hit enter to select (start CloneZilla) then choose device-image. Then select your local device usb harddrive (you can also choose options like a SSH server or a Samba Server or nfs server all will have to be linux base)
Step.5 Hopefully a you created a specific folder before hand for clonezilla to place the image on your
harddisk. Select this for the location of your image
Step.6
Select expert mode and then Savedisk
Step.7 Now name the image whatever you like
Step.8 With the next set of page you can just leave at default
Step.9 Select –sc no, skip checking the saved image
Step.10 Select reboot or poweroff what ever do you like answer (y ) to any questions
Step.11 Sit back and enjoy while Clonezilla does its magic
